Description

Description

Welcome to the Level 1 TACCP (Threat Assessment and Critical Control Point) course.

This course has been designed to provide learners with an introduction to food defence and the principles of Threat Assessment and Critical Control Point (TACCP). While traditional food safety systems focus on accidental contamination, TACCP focuses on protecting food and food supply chains from deliberate acts intended to cause harm.

Food businesses face a growing range of threats, including malicious contamination, sabotage, economically motivated adulteration, cyber threats, theft, and insider risks. Understanding these threats and implementing effective control measures is essential for protecting consumers, maintaining business continuity, and complying with industry standards.

This course introduces learners to the fundamentals of food defence and explains how TACCP can be used to identify potential threats, assess vulnerabilities and implement preventative controls. Learners will gain an understanding of how intentional threats differ from traditional food safety hazards and how organisations can strengthen their resilience against food crime and malicious activity.

Whether you work in food manufacturing, catering, warehousing, logistics, retail or quality assurance, this course provides a valuable introduction to food defence principles and organisational security.
