Description

Description

Welcome to the Food Allergen Awareness course.

This course has been designed to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of food allergens, their impact on consumers, and the responsibilities that food businesses and food handlers have in managing allergen risks. Food allergies affect millions of people worldwide and can cause reactions ranging from mild discomfort to severe, life-threatening anaphylaxis. As a result, effective allergen management is a critical component of food safety.

The course provides practical knowledge on identifying allergens, understanding current food safety legislation, preventing allergen cross-contamination, and communicating allergen information accurately to customers. Learners will gain an understanding of how allergens can enter the food chain and the steps that can be taken to protect consumers and maintain compliance with legal requirements.

Whether you work in catering, hospitality, food retail, food manufacturing, education, healthcare, or any environment where food is prepared, handled, sold, or served, this course will provide the essential knowledge required to safely manage allergen risks.
